Roland Klein Large Checked Jacket

This bright and cheerful jacket is from the 1980's. The jacket has shoulder pads typical of the time. The loose line is also the way that blazers/jackets were designed in the boyfriend blazer style. The main colours are jade and blue with other coloured threads running through the fabric.
One large button (1.5 inches diameter) fastens the jacket.

Roland Klein - a French Fashion designer born in 1938
Roland Klein first worked at Christian Dior in 1960-62. He then went to work for Karl Lagerfeld as an assistant at Patou. Klein went to London in 1965, where he worked at Marcel Fenez. In 1973 he was made the director of the house, and was given his own label. In 1979, Klein opened his own design business.
